Latest melanoma incidence rate in Australia

The latest cancer incidence rate was published in the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

It is alarming to note that melanoma has jumped 2 spots in the past 40 years from No 5 to No 3 in the “most commonly diagnosed cancers” in Australia. The incidence of melanoma has increased from 26.5 to 56.9 cases per 100,000 Australians.
